Service Description
Saturday, October 7th, 1:00-6:00PM Focusing on exploration and experimentation, Meg will lead you through the screen printing process, from start to finish - creating a relaxed, uplifting environment in which the focus is on the joy of the process, and mistakes are embraced. In this dynamic day-long workshop, we will focus on bringing your ideas to life via one of the oldest and most commonly used forms of printing in use today. In the first half of the workshop, we will focus on pushing our creativity, converting our ideas from drawing to graphic, and setting it up properly for print. In the second half, our focus will be on technique and learning the nuances of the screen to produce a clear, beautifully printed product. You will go home with a printed tote bag, a print on fabric and a print on paper. Feel free to bring your own additional paper or fabric materials to print on if you would like to make more! Time: 1:00-6:00pm This is a single session workshop. Materials are included in the tuition price. You will have the option to purchase your screen for $20 at the end of the workshop, if you find yourself wanting to continue with your screenprinting journey at home! Feel free to bring your own food and beverages (alcoholic or non) to make your experience more enjoyable. *Workshop will run if 4 or more participants enroll About your instructor: Meg graduated in 2011 from Parsons School of Design and in 2008 from Chavón La Escuela de Diseño in the Dominican Republic with degrees in Fine Art & Illustration.
