- 85 US dollars$85
- Taylor & Rae Studio
Service Description
In this vibrant workshop we will explore the fundamentals of block printing, cutting techniques, revealing Takako's attitude towards the creative process, so you can be empowered to tackle your own project. Precise planning, safe technique along with the messy unpredictable and sometimes dangerous human element is what this workshop is all about. Learn how to reconnect your brain to hands through sketching, cutting and printing with linoleum blocks on fabric. Explore colors, compositions and the magic of order and chaos. You will go home with your own created four dinner napkins. Materials are included in the tuition price. Feel free to bring your own snacks and beverages (alcohol welcome). *Session will run if four or more participants enroll. About the Artist Takako grew up watching and helping her father’s woodcut printing. She became an architect and landscape architect and lived through long years of minimalist’s world of grays and whites. Her fascination with transferring vibrant colors and shapes into spaces was a remarkable progression. She learned that if you insist on working on digital media alone, two things are guaranteed: 1: Reliable results 2: Missing a big chance of discovering the genius in you!
