Unwind, embrace the joy of the process, and allow yourself to play again in this one-day painting retreat. This day is designed as a relaxing escape for you to reconnect with your creative self, as you learn how to create a custom painting inspired by shapes found in nature. Abstract painting is a great way to try your hand at painting for the first time, or get back into painting again and need some inspiration! If you love interior decorating, this is the perfect opportunity to create a custom painting for your space that reflects your personal style and color palette. Learn fun artistic techniques as you explore with texture, color, and playful mark-making. You do not need to have any prior experience to make your personalized abstract painting. In this full day experience, you will learn to stretch your own canvas, photograph silhouettes in nature for inspiration, transfer patterns onto your canvas, mix up your perfect color scheme, and complete your abstract painting to take home. Saturday, 9:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m. Please bring along your own lunch, snacks, and any beverages you'd like! *Tuition includes the cost of materials. * Course will run if four or more participants enroll ~ A Little About Your Instructor ~ Joya Mutti currently works as an artist and is the founder of Taylor & Rae Studio, in Princeton, MA. She holds a Master of Education from Concordia University and a Bachelor of Fine Art and Education from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Joya has worked as a high school level art teacher for ten years, and has taught a variety of adult art classes and workshops. She has fifteen plus years of experience in painting, ceramics, printmaking, and mixed media art.

Cancellation Policy

To cancel your session, please contact Joya at least 48 hours in advance to receive a refund. Refunds are not available for late cancellations (less than two days notice), but you may transfer your session to another person or apply your credit to a future workshop. Rescheduling or transferring a workshop is always permitted at any time. Thank you for your understanding.
