Escape for a full day of nature and painting in this introduction to plein air painting workshop. This day is about slowing down to connect with nature, find restoration, and let your creative nature play. Find a beautiful place to sit, breathe in the fresh air and paint in the great outdoors. Develop a skillset that you can continue to use and grow and get a dose of creative therapy! This introduction course to Plein Air Painting, will give you a foundation of color theory, composition, depth, and texture using acrylic paints and mediums. We will start the day at 9:00 am as you select and sketch your composition, and learn about color and light. Bring a packed lunch to enjoy around our noontime break. Spend the afternoon mixing colors, exploring with texture, and painting layers as you watch your landscape come to life. We will reflect on our work and pack up at 4:00 PM Full day Session: Sunday 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM *If you have experience with the basics, this course can be elevated to meet your level. *Session will run only if 4 or more participants enroll ~ A Little About Your Instructor ~ Joya Mutti currently works as an artist and is the founder of Taylor & Rae Studio, in Princeton, MA. She holds a Master of Education from Concordia University and a Bachelor of Fine Art and Education from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Joya has worked as a high school level art teacher for ten years, and has taught a variety of adult art classes and workshops. She has fifteen plus years of experience in painting, ceramics, printmaking, and mixed media art.

Cancellation Policy

To cancel your session, please contact Joya at least 48 hours in advance to receive a refund. Refunds are not available for late cancellations (less than two days notice), but you may transfer your session to another person or apply your credit to a future workshop. Rescheduling or transferring a workshop is always permitted at any time. Thank you for your understanding.
