Workshops. Gallery. Events.

Housed in a charming barn, Taylor & Rae Studio seeks to connect people, spark inspiration, and create fine art, home decor and furniture projects. Founded in 2022 in Princeton, MA, Taylor & Rae Studio serves the local community, offering a creative space for teens and adults to gather, explore artistic ventures, practice sustainability, and learn new skills through workshops and courses. We also offer private events for your social circle and seasonal art exhibits to support and celebrate local artists and makers.

Named after my two daughters, Avani Rae and Amaya Taylor, this business is a dedication to my girls as I strive to be a stay at home mom while setting an example of hard work, passion and the importance of building community. Our bottom line is to bring people together to create lasting memories and to enjoy a rejuvenating, meaningful experience with others.

Connecting fine arts with home styling, we aspire to help you create quality, personalized pieces that will stand the test of time. We also take pride in practicing sustainability through recycling discarded goods and giving them a new life. Sign up for a fun evening workshop, or enroll in a weekend course to develop your skill set and make a custom piece that reflects you.

We seek to connect people and bring joy to the community through immersion in the artistic process. We provide the space and opportunities for connections to be made, inspiration to take root and creativity to grow. We aspire to continually develop new ways of bringing people together.

We are open seasonally from May - October

Workshops & mini courses are offered on weekends and must be booked online in advance.

A Business Dedicated to My Daughters

It began with a vision of inspiring my daughters through how I choose to live. We were driving our first daughter, Avani Rae, home from the hospital for the first time when I was hit with a wave of desire to live a life that would instill in my daughter the values of kindness, bravery, boldness, and creativity. After over a decade of teaching fine art in public school, and the birth of my second daughter, Amaya Taylor, I made the leap to open my own business: Taylor & Rae Studio.

Though I have left the public school system, I love teaching all things art: print-making, silk-screening, drawing, painting, mixed media, and ceramics. Teaching art empowers individuals to express their humanity and builds community. Since earning my degree in painting and education from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, in addition to teaching, I have renovated two of my own homes, consulted on kitchen remodeling, built and refinished many pieces of furniture, worked on overseas construction missions, and helped design a barn event space for Trinity Church in Bolton.  I'm well-acquainted with the messy, risky, fun, creative process and am excited to bring my diverse experiences together through the development of this small business.

Taylor & Rae Studio unites my passion for creativity and community.

By opening this studio on our property, I want my daughters to witness their mom taking risks, learning from failure, and persisting through challenges. I want my daughters to witness and appreciate diverse thinking, different perspectives, and  life stories. I want my daughters to witness kindness, boldness, bravery, and creativity and see how a community can come together to inspire, connect and create.
